It just seems boring & complicated. But with this new app which is dominating the market you'll discover that banking has been made easy.** **![pig](https://lakesidemanor.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/pig.png?width=300&name=pig.png)** --- **So what is Revolut?** **[**Revolut**](https://www.revolut.com/ie/) is the new banking app that claims to be "**better than your bank**". The bottom line is that banks charge hidden fees when you spend money & Revolut doesn't. Revolut allows you to spend abroad with **no fees** in over 130 currencies with a contactless Mastercard and send free, fast money transfers to bank accounts anywhere in the world.** **It clearly states that it's transfers are up to **10x cheaper** than your bank!** ![Revolut](https://lakesidemanor.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/Revolut.png?width=200&name=Revolut.png)** ## Who can use it? Revolut can be used by anybody - who doesn't want to save a few pennies?! It's ideal for** students & travellers** who can pay contactless with no exchange rate fees worldwide. ## Why choose Revolut over a bank account? **Well for a start - it's **free**! No hidden fees, no ulterior motives, ****just **simple banking**. Secondly, there's no traipsing in & out of the bank because you forgot a document or proof of address. ** ![Rev](https://lakesidemanor.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/Rev.png?width=350&name=Rev.png)** ## How do you set it up? Revolut states that you can set up an account with them in **under 60 seconds**. So I put it to the test. I wasn't disappointed. I had an account set up & ready to use in no time and all in the comfort of my own home. I simply **downloaded the app** and filled in my personal details & address. Then to prove you're really who you say you are all you have to do is take a photo of either your **Passport**, **ID** or **Drivers License**. And there you have it. Your account is set up. Now all you need to do to activate it is top up by €10 & you're ready to go! **Banking made easy.** --- **Check out more of our articles at [Debs Republic](https://lakesidemanor.ie/).** **Don't forget to follow our Insta:** [@debsrepublic](https://www.instagram.com/) **And add us on Snapchat!** **[![Add us on Snapchat](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/552330/56baaa13-a23f-4f1e-b05f-866e55ac171b.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/552330/56baaa13-a23f-4f1e-b05f-866e55ac171b)** ---   Topics: [students](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/students), [money](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/money) ### Subscribe to Email Updates ### Recent Posts ### Posts by Topic - [Football (4)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/football) - [Halloween (3)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/halloween) - [Atlético Madrid (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/atlético-madrid) - [Champions League (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/champions-league) - [Juventus (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/juventus) - [Make Up (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/make-up) - [Monaco (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/monaco) - [Music (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/music) - [PreDebs (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/predebs) - [Real Madrid (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/real-madrid) - [Ronaldo (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/ronaldo) - [Sports (2)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/sports) - [Ajax (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/ajax) - [Artists (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/artists) - [Celebrity (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/celebrity) - [Celta Vigo (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/celta-vigo) - [Conor Mcgregor (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/conor-mcgregor) - [Dani Alves (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/dani-alves) - [Ed Sheeran (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/ed-sheeran) - [Europa League (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/europa-league) - [Floyd Mayweather (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/floyd-mayweather) - [Game of Thrones (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/game-of-thrones) - [Griezmann (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/griezmann) - [Indie (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/indie) - [Ladies (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/ladies) - [Lyon (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/lyon) - [Manchester United (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/manchester-united) - [Memes (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/memes) - [Mens Fashion (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/mens-fashion) - [Mens Style (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/mens-style) - [Movies (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/movies) - [Photos (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/photos) - [Pogba (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/pogba) - [Saoirse Ronan (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/saoirse-ronan) - [Sport (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/sport) - [TV Shows (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/tv-shows) - [boxing (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/boxing) - [dana white (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/dana-white) - [debs (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/debs) - [debs republic (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/debs-republic) - [debutante ball (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/debutante-ball) - [mma (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/mma) - [money (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/money) - [students (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/students) - [twitter (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/twitter) - [ufc (1)](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/topic/ufc) [see all](https://lakesidemanor.ie/blog/revolut-the-answer-to-student-banking#)
